The Freedom Trail walking and bikeway is an ongoing open space and park development project for which the goal is to link parks and open space areas throughout the Township ultimately creating a bikeway system. The following links have been completed:
- Kingston Freedom Trail : From Heathcote Park to the D&R Canal. Click here for directions -
- Monmouth Junction Freedom Trail: New Road to Stouts Lane along the abandoned rail line. Click here for directions Click here for video
Walking trails at Woodlot Park: Park in the far lot (furthest from the Community Center by the sledding hill). There is a paved path that begins behind the hill (you'll see it at the corner of the parking lot and the exit road). This path leads up and around the hill and behind the ball fields. You can follow to the right around the fields or you can stay straight and go to either Stockton Road, Doran Court or the Monmouth Mobile homes. Have fun exploring. The trail is marked but bring your phone to track yourself with GPS.
